House Painting in South Florida – The Process Part II

House painting is a process that takes more knowledge and experience than many homeowners realize. Steps must be taken to insure that the finished product is all that should be expected.

A quality paint job can make a room or a house come alive and it can increase its value on the market. On the other hand, a poorly painted interior or exterior can leave the homeowner with diminished home value and/or an added expense down the road.

House painting requires some very important steps to look its best and hold up over time.

When it comes to painting the exterior of a home, professional paint contractors do many things that the homeowner may not realize to insure a quality paint job.

They do not just throw up some ladders and slap on some paint and then go home, they spend a considerable amount of time in preparation.

Most house painting professionals start by pressure washing the house. If mold, mildew and/or dirt or on the siding or trim when the paint is applied, the paint will not adhere properly.

The paint will not hold up as it should and the house will have to be re-painted much sooner than it otherwise would be. Professional pressure washing removes the mildew and dirt properly.
